Protozoa is a record label founded in 2016 that has worked with numerous ground-breaking and generally notable artists from the United States. The label finds its roots with Fisch, back when The Bone Room and the original version of I am the Fisch King were being released. Since then, Fisch have released their subsequent projects with Protozoa, including 2019's The Blacklight Sessions, and their partnership has seemingly only become stronger and ever-increasingly multifaceted since. Protozoa has since become intrinsically linked with King Reef, releasing all its albums and with all of Protozoa's personnel being involved in the project. King Reef's greatly-anticipated fourth album, King Reef Gave me Peripheral Vertigo, was released on 11.10.23. Other important artists from the area have been signed under the Protozoa banner, including Burnout, c4s3y, Tenzin Smith and Yung Octane, as well as Fisch side projects Backdrop Lightning, Concrete Rain, and Axis.
